I have an AMD1800+ with onboard SiS630/730 grahpics. Recently purchased a
Samsung SynMaster 710N monitor. First, I have updated the software for both
drivers (monitor & SiS). No conflicts show anyway in my system. The problem
is, on active webpages (homepage, newspaper sites, banking etc) the toolbars
top & bottom display correctly..fill the screen to each edge but the actual
webpage is leaving a 2-3" border each side. None of the page is missing, its
just "slim". I'm now sure its not the monitor as I plugged in my old CRT & it
is now displaying the same problem. Other pages disply correctly. I am
thinking a setting has changed somewhere rather than a hardware problem
however I'm open to any suggestions...I'm a little baffled and any help would
be appreciated..thanks

To judge if its a hijacked internet explorer style sheet or a display driver
issue can you download an alternative browser such as Firefox
http://www.mozilla.org and see if it goes away.

Style sheets are easy to reset to default if this is the case. Usually
though there are more problems lurking in the background waiting to be
discovered.

Hi Lane...thanks for the quick reply. Tried the alternative browser but no
difference. It's weird that some sites display perfectly and others intact
but "slim"..(only way I can describe it) I could understand if the display
showed the same issues for all applications ..Word, Exel & etc etc...I would
say its the graphics card...this one really is puzzling me....
