AMD Sempron™ processor Chipset AMD 780G Chipset Memory1 Up to 8 GB of DDR2 800 MHz SDRAM (dual-channel support on four DIMMs) .
I currently have the AMD Athlon X2 dual-core processor

The gateway fx series uses the same motherboard and it uses the following processor

so my question is can i upgrade my processor to amd quad core?, and if so what ones can i choose from? Is this processor able to use AM3 CPUS?
