Best Graphics Cards For The Money: June '09

This month, ATI's new Radeon HD 4770 is missing in action, since online stores are not only unable to keep it in stock, but also de-listing it completely. With violent movements in pricing, though, it'd have been taken off the recommended list anyway. Read more

Editor's Corner: Nvidia’s Ion Revisited, 7.1 Ch. LPCM Fixed

Nvidia's Ion for the do-it-yourselfer launched last month in the form of Zotac's mini-ITX motherboard. Though sexy in principle, the platform had some teething pains right out of the gate. Chris Angelini revisits those issues and uses Ion as a real HTPC. Read more

Dead Space: Performance Analyzed

Dead Space: Performance Analyzed

Dead Space is an excellent sci-fi survival horror title, and one of the few games that Nvidia supports with its new driver's ambient occlusion feature. We put the game through our usual image-quality and performance tests to see what we could learn. Read more

Attention all SuperFig and Superhero miniature fans, Four-Color
Figures and West Wind Productions are running a special contest to
promote our forthcoming Fall SuperFig releases. Design a Dynamite Duo
asks you the fan to submit two design sketches for the final two
SuperFigs in this release. Here are the ground rules:

1.) The winning submissions become the property of West Wind
Productions, but the winners will receive 5 copies of each figure
along with a set of the other figures in the release, and receive a
design credit in our online release. We reserve the right to take the
best two designs submitted, so the potential exists for two winners.

2.) One of the two designs must be a female, and both designs must
have a high-tech theme (cyborgs, gadgeteers, techno-adepts, robots,
etc.). Both designs should be for Heroic Scale 28mm figures.
Contestants should also consider the limitations of the miniature
casting process when designing their entries.

3.) All designs must be in good taste. Offensive, prurient, or
otherwise unwholesome designs will be rejected out of hand. We reserve
the right to decide which designs fall into these categories.

4.) Designs must be received by Friday, September 24th. Designs may be
mailed as .pdf, .gif or .jpg files to sales@superfigs.com

This is your chance to see your creations on the table-top in three
dimensions! Got a favorite RPG character? Send her in! Amateur comic
artist? Let's see your stuff! Questions or comments can be sent to
Scott Pyle at fourcolorfigs@yahoo.com

Thanks for your interest!
