Hi all.
I just got a mn-700 base station and am going to use it
to connect a dell laptop and a compaq desktop to the same
internet connection. I'm going to connect the compaq to
the base station via ethernet and the laptop wirelessly.
I'm trying to setup the base station with my desktop and
everything seems to work fine. I'm able to connect the
base station fine but when broadband wizard goes to
program the base station I get an error saying I should
either reset the base station (which I've done several
times now) or disable any internet security programs or
firewalls (which I've done). The only security program
I'm running is norton system works 2003 and i disabled
the auto protect. I am totaly lost on what to do so
please give some input.
Thanks,
Matt

Norton doesn't stop when disabled. It needs to be uninstalled.

The alternative is to install the router manually. Use IE
and go to 192.168.2.1. Configure the WAN page to get
Internet access. Set the PC to obtain an IP from the
server. Once this works, setup the Wireless and
Security/Wireless pages for the wireless. Then setup the
wireless laptop wifi card.

Finally to get both PC's to network together (if you want
to), set the same workgroup name on both PC's, and turn off
software firewalls on the PC's.
