Hi.

I recently got a Sony TCD-D7 DAT recorder, I made a SPDIF coax cable so I can record to PC in digital 48kHz 16bit format which works... But, is there any recording software that can split the recordings up like it is on the DAT automatically while recording the DAT to PC? Similar to how a minidisk would copy a CD via optical.

Gonna be a bit of a pain manually chopping and editing massive files otherwise!

I have a Creative Audigy Platinum eX (SB0090) if thats of use.

Any help much appreciated :D

I don't know if Sony's Editing sofware can do that but you might want to call them to find out.

I tried doing the same thing with my minidisk to pc but used adobe audition program, and have to use 64 bit with 4 gig of ram.

Fortunately for me minidisc can do fast skip.
