So for their Ultra we need at least a X4 9650 which in Intel terms would mean a Q6600. For the GPU 3870 is about the same as a 8800GT.

Meh its just a marketing scheme to try to get more sales. Most non computer builders will think it means the best but its not 100% true.

Yeah, Theres only one Ultimate64 sticker & its X4 alright. Other three are compared to more of centrino standard on Desktop. however, for 64 bit Ultimate with X4 its more than Marketing(as other,too) Its Research into How Many DevIEces can be successfully used in that system & be warrentable. So every manufacturer has choice of CrossfireX hybrid & Nuumber/ types of cards, mainboard, memory, hardrive configuration as well as all hardware options ^ software additions, too in OEM machine. In other words, those applying for Sticker are allowed great leeway in hardware used to complete project, so its trial & error start that should define what works. Forgeting what didn't work. At least base of credible Ultimate64 OEM retail machines for all should be result & will evolve & win sticker display for thier machine entry. Sticker is reward for making machines up to Retail sales standards, yet NOT fastest nor Best, although hopefully quite few of them too.
