I cant use my camcorder jvc

I have a jvc camcorder gr-dx25 and have not been able to find a driver for it, However i recently found the setup cd but when i tried to install it it said that its not suitable for windows xp. how can i solve this problem? i have a firewire cable but my computer does not seem able to detect the camcorder.
