Trying to see if the average DIY-er here on Tom's would consider buying an OEM PC.
My question is based on an OEM company that builds with quality parts and not the proprietary crap that Dell usually packs in...
Examples:
Quality name-brand PSU as opposed to generic crap that does not support possible upgrades
Quality Cases with good air-flow and room in case for aftermarket heatsinks & video cards
Quality motherboards with overclocking potential and extra upgrade slots (RAM, PCI-E, etc...)
No Bloatware, just the Fresh OS install and up-to-date drivers.
Prices are competitive to building your own (minus shipping & small premium)
3 year warranty with option of buying an overclock warranty...
So, my question remains. Considering the above is true, would you, the Tom's general DIY-er, consider buying an OEM PC?
