Virtual Memory - Lost HD Capacity

The other day I configered the VM and noticed on reboot the amount of VM was taken from the HD capacity - correct.

I altered the VM setting again and rebooted and noticed the VM was was taken from HD capacity again, on top of the previous withdrawal(not re-adjusted).

As a result of the above, I have lost HD capacity.

How do you get back the lost Gigabytes of the HD?

Try setting the VM to nothing/reboot.
Then set the VM to what you want/reboot.

And make sure you delete pagefile.sys

Problem solved;

I turned back on system restore(previously dissabled), and problem corrected itself. (only happens with multiple custom change of VM. If only one setting/adjustment is done, all OK).

What pointed me to the solution was I noticed the system restore slider was all the way to the right, where previously before I dissabled it, I had set it all the way to the left- min.

Don't know what the hell system restore has got to do with VM?
