You need a minimum of 15% to use the Windows XP Defrag command.
Other than that, I don't think a percentage is an appropriate way
to look at it. You should be more concerned with the amount than
the percentage. I'd want to always have at least 5GB or so free.

This is a newsgroup, not a personal help system- come back to the newsgroup

I've seen it stop working at 10% free just 2 weeks ago, but different
amounts may be needed for different drive sizes. Try to keep at least 20%
free. You can delete temp files and your internet cache to free up some
space.
