I am running Win XP, have an Xfi XtremeGamer, and Sennheiser HD555's. My only interest is gaming, so directional sound is very important. I recently noticed a huge change in sound when I switch from "Headphones" to "2/2.1 Speakers" that I never thought about before, since I assumed it should stay on Headphones.

I am looking for the optimal settings both in the Creative Audio Control, and in windows for the best sound for gaming. I know nothing about these settings, and any info is appreciated.

Also, are HD555's 5.1 headphones? Thanks.
