I'm planning to upgrade my monitor to a 22" or a 24", but my budget lies around $300. I know there aren't many good 24" that are that cheap, but who knows! Anyways I included the 22" because there are some good deals out there.

I would also like to ask if you do recommend a monitor, please state why? What made you chose that monitor? This will allow me to gain some new knowledge and possibly help decide between the different monitors people will recommend here.

Ah, sorry, forgot to add that this will be used for casual browsing, movies, and high-end games such as Crysis. =)

how do these two samsung's rate with you guys? both are 2ms matte finish available from newegg.

Samsung 2232BW+ 22" $179

Samsung 2253BW $230

what's the difference, are they good?
