Alrite, here's the problem
I bought a new HD and was tryin to format it with the Windows XP boot up cd and after i formatted it, i forgot to stop it form instaling windows xp and so i stopped it half way. So, i decided, to format the new HD again w/ quick format hoping that it would remove the second windows xp, but it won't! My first windows xp is working fine but everytime i boot up, i still have the option of going to the bad one or the new one. I've tried to repair it but it doesn't show up with the windows xp bootup option. How else would I remove the other windows xp? Formatting doesn't work...
most likely the boot menu option is there but if you select it there is no OS on that partition. If that's the case, just remove that menu option from control panel -> system -> advanced -> startup and recovery -> edit
It's always the one thing you never suspected.
