I was looking for a monitor with either a resolution of 1600x900 or 1440x900 until I noticed the Samsung 2343BWX
http://www.engadget.com/2008/11/06 [...] esolution/

it sounds like a really good deal but the resolution is way too high at 2048x1152. I only care about games, not movies or TV. How bad would it look if I played a game at 1600x900 on this thing? How many of you play games at lower resolutions than your monitor's?

2048x1152 goes to 1366x768 using 3:2 scaling

text, pics, everything looks good. That is the res I play crysis in.
