Hey,I got a problem with my computer.The problem is that when i play certain games and launch certain applications i have to mouse for the screen to refresh,if i don't everything shows at 1 frame per second.Sometimes it works fine,whenever i play half-life 2 and cs:source it works fine but when i tried to play games like XIII and others it skips really bad like mentioned before.Please help me with my situation,tahnks.

Please reply with your system specs. Does the computer run fine while just in Windows?

I have a 2.8 ghz p4,a gig of ddr400 pc3200 generic memory,a PNY 6800 gt, an asus p4p800se mobo,windows xp service pack 2,an 80 gig hdd at 7200 rpm's

Might be a good idea to run Memtest86 to check the memory for errors.

You could also have a power supply problem. Might want to log your Power Supply Unit voltages using MBN5.

It could be a game specific problem, in which case you want to be sure you have the latest <A HREF="http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_71.89.html" target="_new">Nvidia driver 71.89</A> for your graphics card.

Your CPU should be able to handle the load, but in case you suspect your CPU of overheating, first thing is to check the fan, see if it's running okay...
You can also log the CPU temperature using MBN5.

MBN5 and Memtest86 are pretty easy to find and d/l.
