I've been offered the gift of monitor (anything $300 or less) for Christmas and I'm pumped. Unfortunately, aside from knowing a slight cut above the average in terms of general television/monitor knowledge, I'm far from where I should be.

So for you experts out there...any monitor suggestions would be nice. I'm set on the idea of a 22" LCD monitor with a 1680 x 1050 resolution. I'm an average to above average gamer (E8400, GTX 260) and oftentimes think about how nice it would be to watch movies on my computer. Any ideas?

I've looked at these...but really can't tell which one is clearly better (considering price, features, picture, general aesthetics).

Note - I'm open to suggestions, as long as it is within the topic.

Thanks ahead of time.
