There are so many brands out there so I want to narrow it down to a select few that are of quality. Particularly I want to find out if brands like leveno and Sager are superior to HP and Dell. I know Toshiba used to be a reputable brand, but I don't know if they still are. I've done some research and I couldn't find any consensus. Some would say brand "X" is good and then others would say that they've had nothing but problems. That is why I decided to post here. I appreciate any help and hope you guys can guide me toward a good purchase. Thanks.

Opinions on companies are going to vary for everyone. I know we have a few people with Sager laptops here who absolutely love them (me included). At the same time, I've also had good experience with Dell and some of the others with HP. Toshiba is decent, particularly at bringing respectable laptops for a fair price.

Something like this Dell would fit your needs pretty well: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6834200027
