Help choosing a laptop

3_What screen resolution do you want? Not sure

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? desktop replacement

5_How much battery life do you need? 3-5 hours

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? No

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.) will be mainly used for surfing the web, music, movies. Also various apps, but nothing overly intensive.

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need? 250GB should be fine

There are so many brands out there so I want to narrow it down to a select few that are of quality. Particularly I want to find out if brands like leveno and Sager are superior to HP and Dell. I know Toshiba used to be a reputable brand, but I don't know if they still are. I've done some research and I couldn't find any consensus. Some would say brand "X" is good and then others would say that they've had nothing but problems. That is why I decided to post here. I appreciate any help and hope you guys can guide me toward a good purchase. Thanks.
