I downloaded some templates from office.microsoft.com but
For some reason, all of a sudden, my .CAB files don't know what program to
open with. I'm using Win XP pro. and office xp . Any suggst.?

I find the best way is to rite klik and select open... when asked say you'll
choose from a list. I use notepad for everything. I know this is bull but it
is interesting
