i have a plextor 712a which is an 8x dvd rw
however apparently some dvd+r's it can write at 12x
i was wondering if anyone knew which disks wrote at 12x thanks for any info

athlon 2500
512mb corsair xms 3200
radeon 9800np
80 gig hd

I buy verbatim DVDs at SAMS they're 8X but the package claims that they can be recorded at 12X with compatible hardware.
Now which hardware is "compatible" to write at 12X I don't know but you can buy them and if it's not compatible you should be able to record at 8X which is what you paid for.

Nothing is as easy as it looks
