Can anyone help?

I am desperately seeking a SCSI/PCMCIA adaptor for my Dell Laptop. The interface that I am trying to bridge is from a SCSI cable terminated in a DBM 25 pin plug to the cardbus slot on my laptop. Should this not be a viable solution to my problem, I would welcome any suggestions as to how else I can run my Minolta Dimage Scan Dual Slide & Film Scanner from the laptop. I am aware that the scanner is not compatible with XP or Vista, so it is dual bootable with Win2K Pro & XP.
