ACER Aspire Safe Mode Windows 7

Hello,
Have ACER Aspire Desktop - MicroSoft says the install is not genuine. The solution to this problem involves accessing Safe Mode. This is supposed to be done using F8 during boot. This does not work. Now what?

I am runing Windows7 Ultimate.

How did you obtain Windows 7? Did it come with the machine? Did you purchase and install 7 separately?

Thanks for your reply. It was installed by a local computer repair shop. I have since returned to the shop and was told it was a browser problem which was overlooked when the OS was installed. Thank you.

A browser problem would not cause the OS to report as not genuine. Someone fed you a load of crap.
