Hello everyone,

I am looking at three 19 inch monitors. I will soon have a Dell XPS studio machine coming, with an ATI 4850 card. It will be used for playing games (like World of Warcraft) and working with MS Office.

I currently have a Samsung 20 inch monitor attached to another machine - it is nice, but can feel a little too big at times. So I am going for a 19 inch monitor for the Dell Machine.

The three monitors are as follows:

1) LG W1952TQ-PF, 2ms, 10,000:1 contrast ration,
£116.47

(Oddly, other UK shopping sites list this as a W1952TQ - i.e. without the PF. The UK LG site does the same. The Hong Kong LG site does list it as W1952TQ-PF however. As far as I can tell, the specs between W1952TQ and W1952TQ-PF are the same. Does anyone know what the PF means and how it is different to the normal W1952TQ?? - also the Comet site lists this as 5ms, although according to the LG Hong Kong site, it is indeed 2ms).

2) Viewsonic VX1962WM , 2ms, 6,000:1 contrast ratio
£124.22

3) Dell Ultrasharp 1909W, 5ms, 1000:1 contrast ratio
£137.08

The Dell model has a lower response time and contrast ratio compared to the LG and Viewsonic - although it is height adjustable, and friends tell me the Ultrasharp series is excellent. Any advice in choosing one of the above three monitors would be appreciated.

Thank you.
