with Intel® P8700 45nm "Montevina" Core™2 Duo 2.53GHz w/3MB L2 On-die cache - 1066MHz FSB 25 watt
and
4,096MB (2 SODIMMS) DDR3 1066MHz Dual Channel Memory (Requires Vista 64-Bit to utilize 4GB+) (Corsair,
Kingston or Crucial)

The HP is 17.3" but the Memory is DDR2 (I've read benchmarks and it doesn't seem like it's a huge difference from DDR3).
And, the HP's processor is 2.26GHz with all other stats similiar.

I'm thinking I should go with the HP because of the screen size. The difference between the DDR2 and DDR3 isn't big at all.

Also, the HP has the Mobility 4650, even though it doesn't specify, I'm assuming it is DDR3?

Thanks for any help!

they both have mobility 4650

They are both pretty close in speed, the 200 mhz won't matter mch

i would go with DDR3 since it can prob be OCed a bit and It has the p8700 45nm so less heat and better tech

go with the Force

thanks for the reply dude! But the HP site doesn't specify whether the 4650 is DDR2 or DDR3, is it safe to assume DDR2? I should call them and ask =P

anyone else wanna give their input?
