Hey all,

Instead of paying like $800 for a Mac Cinema display, i'd like to get an alternative to use with my 13" Macbook. Any suggestions? Does anyone know firsthand what the best is? I know Samsung is big, but I've also peeked at the HP's as well. Any and all suggestions are welcome....thanks

There is no absolute best. There are always compromises.

List exactly what is important to you.

To me the best monitor to buy is the 26" NEC LCD2690WUXi or the 24" NEC LCD2490WUXi, but they both cost in excess of $1,100.
