Hello. I have my realtek high def audio drivers installed and they show up in device manager as working properly. When I plug something in, it even detects it and says something to the effect of, "you have plugged something in"

However, I still have no sound. Im testing the audio with a set of headphones I also know work. Nothing is on mute as far as I know. This one has me stumped.

The only hint I can offer is that someone uninstalled some programs and might have uninstalled something related to audio. Also, I had system restore off so I cant use that :/ (learned my lesson there).

If any other information is require please say so. Thanks for any help mates.

I have the same problem...with realtek..have installed all drivers and no sound. It is registering for example in audacity that something is recording and in playback, something is registering, but no sound..I have already paid for driver robot to make sure everything gets installed correctly. help!!
