Packard bell laptop black screen

Hello,

lately I start up my laptop and as usual it takes me to the users screen, I enter my password and it says welcome for a while, it then just blacks out, I know its not a power problem because I restart it loads of times and sometimes it starts and sometimes it blacks out. Please Help

Try starting in safe mode (press F8 as Windows starts) and see if it's a driver (especially video) problem.

Alternatively it may be the hard drive.
