Internet Explorer 9 is the most recent version supported by Windows 7, so if you want to use IE, that's the version to use. However, unless you specifically need to use IE, I recommend using a different web browser. Opera, Firefox, and Chrome (or derivatives of them) are generally faster, more stable, and less likely to give you malware than IE.
