Matched pairs

What is everyone's oppinions on matched pairs? Do most of you buy in matched kits? I am currently building a system for my sister which will never be OCed and will not play the latest games. But right now RAM is so cheap that I might still get her 1GB of RAM. I am still deciding whether it is worth the 20 bucks or so to get her a matched set.

They are tested at the same time. High quality RAM I dont think would matter either way.
