I am currently debating between 2 potential builds from dell. I am looking at the following builds. I intend to be doing gaming primarily. I have a radeon HD 4850 kicking around at home I intend to use to replace the default ones in these systems. I also have an additional 500GB HDD and blu-ray drive I would like to install. My question is, which is better for gaming, and is the PSU likely going to be able to support at least the upgraded graphics card?

XPS Studio 8000 - $800
i5-750 processor
4gb RAM 1066mhz
7.1 Audio
8 USB 2.0 ports
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
500gb HDD
Radeon HD 4350
16x burner
HDMI out

Vostro 430 - $830
i5-750 Processor
8gb RAM 1333mhz
5.1 Audio
10 USB 2.0 ports
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
500gb HDD
Radeon HD 4350
16x burner
Dual monitor support

$30 for 8gb vs 4gb is worth it. I'm pretty sure that they're nearly identical systems ( even the cases?)

You should research and see what the psu's are, because I dont' think the 4350 requires additional power so they might have 350-400w psu's that you'd have to upgrade to put in a high end video card.

You also may want to check out www.dell.com/outlet they have some discounted scratch/dent and refurb i7 systems for discount.

Yea, I thought the same thing. The case is different, but I care more about function over form. From what I've read, the PSUs are 350w for both, but I'm not 100% sure. I wouldn't have a clue how to change a PSU on a PC. I'm more knowledgable with software than hardware.

I already checked the outlet, but didn't see anything that really caught my eye. Plus, I'm in Canada, so the prices aren't quite as good for me on those.
