I am trying to reformat my Seagate 80 gig hard drive to reinstall XP pro. I am trying to do the LONG reformat, not the quick one. The format stops at 70% every time. Is there any way to complete the format, or will I have to go with the quick format and reinstall. I want to make sure everything on my hard drive is wiped. Wll the quick format totally clean it? Don't see any utility to wipe it on the Seagate website. Thanks for your help! Kat

Here's the <A HREF="http://www.seagate.com/support/disc/drivers/" target="_new">page</A> for the Seagate Disk Utilities.

You could always use a Win9x <A HREF="http://www.mirrors.org/archived_software/www.bootdisk.com/original.htm" target="_new">Boot Disk</A> to format the drive, if it's not already NTFS.
