So here 2 computers, one was recommended to me by someone on these forums as a home built computer and another is a asus computer from Bestbuy.

heres the asus
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+-+Factory-Refurbished+Essentio+Desktop+with+Intel%26%23174%3B+Core%26%23153%3B+i7+Processor/9835964.p?id=1218181728439&skuId=9835964

and here are the specs to the home built computer.
CPU/Mobo: X4 955 and Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 2x2 GB 1600 mhz CAS Latency 7
GPU: HD 5770
HDD: Seagate 7200.12 500 GB .
Case/PSU: Antec 300 Illusion and Earthwatts
Optical: Cheap SATA DVD burner
OS: Windows 7 Home 64-bit OEM
and the total cost of this is 805$ dallors.

I'll be using the computers mainly for gaming... Main concern on the asus computer was the graphics card... So tell me what one you think is better and maybe a reason or two. Thanks! ;)

btw, the sub category is wrong cause asus wasn't on there....

The Asus system is better overall IMO.
-It's got more RAM
-It's got a more powerful CPU
-It's got a bigger hard drive
-It comes with keyboard/mouse
-It's got a comparable if not better video card (the gtx 260 outperforms the 5770 in most gaming benchmarks).

However, it only has a 90 day warranty, it's refurbished, and I don't trust best buy for anything. The homebuilt system is a solid build. It likely has faster RAM, even though it has less. Depending on the TB hard drive in the Asus, the homebuilt system likely has the faster/yet smaller hard drive.
