Dell Inspiron 8200 Notebook HD Compatibility

Hi, I am replacing a Dell Inspiron 8200 Hard Disk with a new one after the original took an unfortunate fall in an airport. Dell says that the largest drive that can go in it is 60gig, but another Dell rep said up to 100. I assume that they were just talking about what they had in stock, in fact. But--is there a limitation beyond the 2.5" form factor? I see Seagate 100 gig drives in 2.5" and also Hitachi fast 7200 60 gig drives. Will all of these just slide into the Dell laptop, regardless of what the reps at Dell may say?
