DESKTOP SAYS HAVE NO BIOS

CAN I CONNECT MY LAPTOP WIN7 TO MY DESKTOP THAT HAS CRASHED AND PUT WIN7 ON IT? i HAVE WIN XP UPGRADE AND I DID A WIPE N RELOAD ON DESKTOP SO I HAVE NOTHING TO UPGRADE. REALLY NEED MY DESKTOP AND CANT AFFORD A WIN98 DISK OR WINXP FULL EDITION. CAN ANYONE HELP? ALL MY DESKTOP DOES IS BLACK SCREEN THAT SAYS IT CLOSED SORRY FOR INCOVENIENCE AND ASKS RATHER I WANT TO START NORMALLY AND THEN WON'T LET ME. QUICK BLUE SCREE N THEN BACK TO BLACK ONE. BACK AND FORTH. WHAT DO I DO?
