Hi guys,

I'm working on this junkbox Vostro 200, and I can't believe the factory specs that they expect to run Vista with...........512mb of ram? 1.6 gHz Celeron? This was cheap technology over 5 years ago....... Anyway, I'm looking into a processor upgrade for the CU409 Dell motherboard that comes stock with it, but I can't find specs on it ANYWHERE. Anybody have any idea where I can find out what processors it will support? I was hoping it would be a C2D/C2Q, but I may not be so lucky. Anyway, any help you guys can give would be great, thanks in advance.

I'd think you'd be able to update it w\ a good 775 cpu. It should support 45nm if i'm not mistaken.

If you want a good upgrade, don't wast your money in a 775 socket. Safe a little more and buy an i3, i5, X3, X4 or something like that.

The quad will not work, dell saves a penny on the MB when you do not buy a quad, apparently the E5700 will work.
