Compaq 3000 lightning bolts flash 3 times

when i push the power it lights up and then the lightning bolts and what i think is the battery light flash 3 times and then it turns off i have bought a new power cord and battery what is wrong?

Had the same, for me it was a dead processor. Look for a comp. shop that can test it?
