My laptop display is malfunctioning. it will only stay on long enough to show the windows loading, then it fades to black. I can hook up an external monitor and see my desktop, but not on my dell Inspiron 6000 laptop. It has a graphics card with 96 mb of memory, but the info screen says it is only using 6mb. It also indicates that a minimum of 8mb have to be in use for the graphics display. What do I need to do to access the full(or more of) memory in order for the display to work on my laptop?
