Thanks, I believe it is what my problem is, burner not working. I used Cynerlink Power2Go 8 for copying DVD and CD (for non copyright protected ones) but now I can't because my laptop recognizes those copied DVDs/CDs as blank disc. I also used WinX DVD Copy to copy movies I rented from Netflix with sucessful rate of approx. 70% (I found out that if there was problem in the original disc such as dirty disc because of being handled by other movie renters, then copying would fail), I just used it to copy Vienna Philharmonic 2012 New Year Concert (I had succeeded in copying it to a friend few months ago) and failed too. So now I am certain that I need a new burner. My labtop is less than 11 months young so now I send for warranty repair and I can pinpoint the problem to reapir shop (Ascer Aspire, its cheapest model).
