Hi: I have an old AA Dac 1 (actually externally labeled "Frox" but internally its definatily an AA DAC 01. I know that AA made a 12 volt and 14 Volt PS's but does anyone know what amperage is needed?
I have tried both voltages with some "extra" PS's lying around and successfully get it to power and lock to both dig inputs, but am getting highly distorted sound from unit no matter the PS used.
Wonderiing if it is an amerage problem, or if the unit just may have some bad caps or ic's causing problem?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks Scott

Audio Alchemy products were notoriously unreliable. I suspect that the PS is not the problem.
