Laptop screen stopped working!! Ahhhhhhhhhhh :-(

Ok so i have an advent 7093 laptop which i fitted a new display to 1 month ago, its been rarely used since. Tonight after 5 minutes of use, I was installing football manager 09 when the laptop crashes, i think it then had a problem during reboot which is when i noticed the blank monitor. iv tried connecting it to a stand alone monitor but nothing there either. That makes me think its the graphics card thats broken but there are no beeps indicating this is the case!! Iv checked the connections on the back of the screen and everything seems to be ok. Please please please im in need of help, thanks all
