hi guys
I have same proble but more strange
my CD/DVD driver read all kind / type of CD/DVD exepet bootable CD/DVD
when I put bootable disk like win CD/DVD drive vanish! and come back when I tack out the CD/DVD.
MY PC is GX280 original
I spend 3 days to solve this problem but still no luck

Put in the windows disc. If the drive disappears, check the device manager to see if your drive is still listed there. If not, try running this scan.

I tryed to come back to my last version of bios. I make usb dos boot it worked and now i have my last version of bios A03 but cd rom not detected when i put xp disk on that.
please help me it get in my nerve.

Boot into the BIOS, and make the optical drive the first boot device. Then unplug your hard drive and any other optical drives. If it's a weird windows glitch, this will force the PC to boot off your windows disc.
