i see the raid card's price vary boardly, so i'm wondering what makes the price so different? I don't mind spending 6,7 hundres for the card if they really worth that price.
thx,

wusy, thanks for your reply. i have a few more question:
1. for 15k scsi hd, which will be better? Cheetah or Matrox?why?
2. my mb is gonna be tyan k8we, which has 3 pci-X slot and 2 PCI-E x16 slot, but i think i'll go with the PCI-X raid-controller card since i'm putting 2 6800 ultra in the pci-e.

3.for purchasing PCI-X raid controller card what should i be keep in mind?

thanks.

If size is a problem go for the <A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811112055" target="_new">Lian-Li PC-V1200(b)</A>. It is an extended mid tower case that will hold eatx boards.

Have you looked at the the ThermalTake Shark? I love mine. Also, I wouldnt recommend their lower wattage PSU's, but Thermaltakes 680W is a very high quality PSU.

You sure the K8WE will fit in the V1000? That motherboard looks like it is eATX and a V1000 isn't going to hold an eATX board.
I think the V1200 is probably the best bet, it is definatly far superior to the thermaltake cases.
