Hi everyone!

I have some troubles after installing SP3 (but I'm not sure it is related to the SP) (I havn't deinstalled SP2)
My CD Rom is not dedected in WIN2000 anymore (no Prob with the Burner)
In the bios and when I sue via IDETool all drives are there ...

any Idea what I can do/check before I try to reinstall win 2000

I would try removing the CD-ROM from the Device Manager, reboot, and allow Windows to redetect and reinstall the device.

Afterwards, I'd look for an update to the mainboard chipset drivers before installing SP3.

There's no need to uninstall Service Pack 2 in order to install Service Pack 3.

If necessary, you can download SP3 from <A HREF="http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/servicepacks/sp3/default.asp" target="_new">here</A>.
