I posted a while back that during cinematics I would Get "green specs" all on the screen. Well I figured out why....I'm still confused why though. I have two matched pairs of corsair. I removed one. For some reason now they are gone. I played a couple games that was doing this, and they are gone completely. My concern is now....Is that matched pair bad? Or is it something to do with to much memory the comp has to address during rendering.....What's your guys thoughts?

No...I have memtest86+...I'm not sure how to use it....yet I just downloaded it two night ago. Strange it would go away after removing the one matched pair. I'm assuming that theres something wrong with the memory....knowing that taking it out fixed the issue...or maybe something else.

Try updating your video card drivers after installing all of the memory. Also run memtest, read the instruction from their site on how to run it.

If you got the floppy version have one of those available, then run the exe and it will create the disk for you.. IIRC, CD version comes as an ISO just burn that.

Then you boot your machine with the disk in (and boot order set correctly of course), and let it do its thing.

I had this problem with my A64, each stick would come back clean but together they errored. I bumped the core voltage up (seems my board undervolts) and the problem went.

Yeah I'm kinda agreeing with you...Asus is a great mobo manufacturer. I've had no problems with it unless I tinker with it making stupid mistakes.

I still have my 1st mobo(well 1st computer was compaq but I got smarter afterwards). Its a Asus P2B-L on intel's vintage 440BX. It lied on the carpet floor for almsot a years and than it got kicked around and its still working like a charm.

As I said they are to expensive nowadays but they remain good stable parts
