I'm ready 4 a new laptop. REALLY SOON.
My current 1 was a gift several yrs ago. It's Compac Presario V5105us, using Win XP. I've upgraded it about as much as I want 2.

Primary use is Adobe CS4 (mostly photoshop), internet use, MS office suite, very little gaming.
Speed, memory, graphics card image display quality r my primary interests in whatever way they might fit my budget of $900 - $1200. Screen size sholud be at least 15", but 16+" would be better. Portability & battery life r not signifigant. It's a single user machine so I don't need 2 satisfy anyone elses needs.

I've been looking @
HP dv7-2173cl, dv7-2170, X16-1370us, dv7-1270us,

Sony FW 460 J/T, FW 460 J/B, FW 468,

& just recently
ACUS G51VX

I'd like to stay w/Intel & InVidia but I'm open to suggestions/recommendations.

Optical storage flexability is sort of important.

Whatever help/guidence U can provide will b appreciated. I really hopr to purchase the SOON, so U'r responce info will b watched 4 frequently over next few days.

Thanks

Old Dick aka Richard

If a little gaming then G51 isn't worth it since it has GTX 260M which is good if you want to play games on good settings,HP DV7/DV6 series are good, however SAGER NP 2098 is a good alternative:

XoticPC ships internationally
