Windows performed an automatic update Friday, 10/16, at 3:00 AM EDT. I am now receiving a blue screen message...

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage.

If this is the first time you've seen this screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. (I do) If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with manufacturer for driver updates. (How do I get to the drivers when I can't get past this screen?)

Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use SafeMode to remove or disable components, restart your CPU, pres F8 to select Advance Startup Options and select Safe Mode. (I did and it locks up).

"Technical Information:

***STOP: 0x0000007E (0x80000003, 0x805BA6EC, 0xF78EA2B8, 0xF78E9FB4)

I have run diagnostics twice and everything passes.

Any suggestions? Thank you. Molly G.
