Win XP SP1 will no longer boot. In Safe mode it displays the following lines
and then stops:

[preceding drivers lines]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows\system32\drivers\ntfs.sys
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows\system32\drivers\ndis.sys
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows\system32\drivers\mup.sys

At this point there is no cursor. One of the hard drives clicks but nothing
else happens.

I have tried rebooting several times but it always stops at the same point.

Thanks,
Don Culp

Suggest you run the disk drive mfr's test program to check for a
hardware fault. If none is reported, try a repair installation by
booting from the XP CD.
