Is there a comfortable mouse out there?

I've been looking high and low for a new mouse for about 2 months now (preferably wireless) and have been consistently disappointed in the placement of the buttons and the shape of the mouse in nearly every single one I've held in my hand/palm. My old trusty GE optical mouse (actually manufactured by Jasco) finally became to unreliable to use since the cursor was flying all over the screen and every single click I made was translated into two clicks or more by my computer. Needless to say that caused some consternation when trying to simply select things I ended up launching some freaking program.

Anyways, are there any mice out there that any of you have found particularly comfortable that have a good placement of the 4th and 5th buttons?

Also, I like smileys.

I've see those before and for some reason they don't really tickle my fancy. Thanks for the reply though!
