PC350 and HD555

Forum Home Audio : High-End Audio PC350 and HD555

I just received my new PC350's today in the mail and before that I was using HD555's for about 9 months or so. Clearly the 555's sound better than the 350's. I play cod4 so I can tell the difference atm. Is this due to the 350's being brand new out of the box today and needs to be worn in as my 555's have been or is it just because the 555's are superior to the 350's? I'm fairly dumbfounded when it comes to audio so any information is helpful. Thx

The PC350 use the same drivers as the Sen 595, however, the casing is far inferior.

You should look around on headfi and see if you find anything.

I just bought a PC350. Sound was ok. Then I went to the shop and heard a HD515 demo. The sound was superior, with the bass noticeably better, even though the PC350 was supposed to have a better lower dynamic range.

So I bought a HD555 on the spot. Comparing the two, the HD555 is a *lot* better than the PC350.

As for sound bleed, the HD555's sound bleed is acceptable to me. Unless you have the volume way up (not advisable - that's a great way to start wearing hearing aids early in life), it's not going to be a nuisance unless you're in a library. That's me anyway.

So if you're thinking between the two - just go for the HD555. It's cheaper, and way better.

PS. Soundcard is Auzentech Forte 7.1
