I have a dell inspiron 560 with nvidia control panel just to let you know. im trying to hook up hdmi to my tv. ok when i go to start/control panel/sound it only show speaker. theres know hdmi
to enable is there some way to get the hdmi panel to show up.

I have my computer hooked up to a TV. I have to enable the video output to the TV before the sound option shows up. In win7 it's: control panel/hardware and sound/display then change display settings (left side). pull open the multiple display settings and select extend or duplicate (or just output to the TV only). then check in the sound settings to see if anything changes.

Remembered that you might have to connect the audio from your computer to the graphics card. if what I said above doesn't change any thing take a look at this guide:

The stuff about Spdif is what will make it work.
