Memory for system?

Hi folks,

I am building the following system

AMD64 4000+ (was thinking about the x2 but games is the main aim)
MSI K8N Neo2 SLi Platinum (don't want the dfi, it's too noisy)
X850XT-PE
Samsung 19" 913N

I want to overclock but I know that memory has a big impact on overclocking so...

Does anyone know which memory I should buy for this? I was thinking about OCZ. There are 2 options for me.
OCZ Performance Dual Channel Kit 2x512MB DDR433 PC3500 CL 2.5-3-3-7 at £110 or...
OCZ Gold EL Dual Channel Kit 2x512MB DDR466 PC3700 CL 2.5-3-3-8 Revision at £140.

Would these be the chips, and if so would the 466 give me noticable difference over the 433.

cheers
Dave

OOPS! 433 is an 8% overclock, 466 is a 16% overclock.

OOPS no!

Would the 433 handle the CPU being overclocked, enough so that I wouldn't need to buy the 466? Could I overclock the CPU more if I had the 466? Would the performance increase be worth the extra £30 I would have to spend?

It really depends on how far you think you'll overclock the CPU. Certainly you'd want to overclock the CPU and RAM by the same amount! DDR433 gives you 216MHz clock, synchronous for a 2.0GHz A64 (like certain versions of the 3200+) at 2.16GHz. DDR466 gives you 233MHz clock, synchronous for the same CPU at 2.33GHz.

Decide how much you want to overclock and spend accordingly.
